There’s so much history and natural beauty to see in South Saipan that you shouldn’t miss an opportunity to visit its best spots! You can choose between a visit to Southern Saipan or see Saipan’s jungles, or you can opt to see both areas and get the full experience. After leaving your hotel in the free shuttle, you’ll head to Mount Tapochau, the highest point in the entire island, right at its heart. The panoramas from here give you a 360-degree view of the entire island in all its glory. After the mountain, you’ll head to San Juan Beach, with its rocky outcrops, foamy waves and beautiful pools of seawater battered by the currents. Following this, you head to the an Aboriginal Farm, where you’ll discover locals hard at work cultivating fresh tropical fruits. You could even try some if you like. Then you’ll see the Santa Lourdes Shrine, a breathtaking grotto ensconced in natural rock, roots and vines, making it an otherworldly visit. The next stop, Forbidden Island, may seem imposing, but it’s actually a gorgeous view. With its rocky plateau, white capped waves and beautiful strip of shoreline, it looks almost cinematic. After lunch, you’ll visit Tank Beach, named after a partially submerged Sherman Tank just off shore in the shallows; a remnant of the World War gone by. This is followed by a visit to the Purple Church before Ladder Beach, named after the installed ladder staircase that takes you to an idyllic private paradise. Your tour rounds off at the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cathedral, one of the largest in the island, and considered a historic site. You’ll return back to your hotel with memories of the beautiful holy landmarks of Saipan along with its gorgeous beaches.
